Overview:

The Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Star Awards were designed to recognise the achievements of staff, both office and hospital-based, working across the Children NHS Foundation Trust.

We hosted the award ceremony as a virtual event, including live stream, a live chat forum, distribution of award trophies and we even had Martin Freeman as a spokesman!

Brief

Concept

The Concept:

The awards were of great importance for Great Ormond Street Hospital. They really wanted their staff to feel valued.

The awards were previously organised in-house and held over Zoom but wanted them taking to the next level this year. We were able to provide full design, production and event management services, as well as developing a brand and identity for the event, making it extra special!

Experience

The Experience:

Employees were asked to nominate colleagues throughout 12 award categories over a 3-week period. All nominations were reviewed by a judging panel which consisted of senior representatives from across the organisation’s departments to ensure diversity.

We notified the winners in advance so they could prepare an acceptance message which was fed into the platform and streamed live on the day.

All 12 winners received their awards package in advance so that they were able to hold their award up to the camera!

The virtual event included several animated videos and motion graphics that brought the theming and identity to life on the production.

Results

Results:

The award ceremony was a huge success for Great Ormond Street Hospital. The chat function used throughout the live event really emphasised the genuine positivity, support and appreciation from peers.

For us, it was incredible to be part of this experience. The overall project feedback was extremely positive and we can't wait for what's to come with this client!
